PUTNAM COUNTY EMS PUBLIC EDUCATION

School / Daycare Visits:

Our EMT’s and Paramedics take every opportunity we can to visit with and educate the children who are our future. Many childhood injuries can be prevented by simply educating children on safe practices and teaching them what to do in case of an emergency.

Our crews will bring an ambulance to show, as well as talk to children of any age about the topics that effect them most. We use this time to teach children about emergency preparedness, injury prevention, and what to do in an emergency.

Public Speaking:

Putnam County Emergency Medical Services will fulfill any request for public speaking regarding our services, personnel, or any public safety topic. We can customize a presentation for any age group on any topic.

Your presentation will be presented by the most qualified and compassionate public educators who are trained extensively in the field of pre-hospital medicine.

Our programs can be a stand-alone presentation or presented as part of a symposium or conference. We also work closely with local law enforcement and fire departments to give your group or business the best safety information possible. Call us for your next health/safety fair, or job fair.

Teen Driver Safety Program:

Quite possibly the most important presentation you will ever see, the teen driver safety program takes teenagers and adult drivers alike on an emotional journey through the heartache and distress of a terrible traffic incident. Most traffic incidents are preventable, therefore we do not call them accidents.

This program shows the true story of how a day at the lake with friends can turn deadly in the blink of an eye. Through the loss of Tonya T. Kelly of Cookeville, teenagers and parents learn about good decision making, safe driving practices, and what can happen when driving while being pre-occupied.

This program is presented to schools, youth groups, clubs, and any organization that wishes to teach teenagers what happens when the un-thinkable does happen. Special considerations exist for presenting this program outside of Putnam County… please don’t hesitate to ask!!!

Senior Safety Program:

The senior safety program combines classroom sessions, information packets, and home safety inspections to aide aging adults and caregivers in ensuring that our aging population remains as safe as possible. Many times, senior injuries can be prevented by simple prevention.

This program is designed to be scheduled on an as needed basis warranted by participant interest. For more information on the program or to sign up for the next available program, please contact us at the information below.
